Une nuit extrêmement difficile aux urgences du CH St-Eustache. 12 équipes de paramédics et leurs patients en attente d'être triés ou transférés vers un lit disponible. 12 équipes des paramédics = 12 ambulances. En attente aux urgences. Ne répond pas aux appels. Ce qui signifie, bien sûr, des délais de réponse prolongés pour la prochaine urgence et celle qui suit. Cela signifie également des urgences débordées avec une infirmière de triage qui peine à faire face à l’afflux de patients.

An extremely difficult night at the ER at CH St-Eustache. 12 teams of paramedics and their patients waiting to be triaged or transferred to an available bed. 12 teams of paramedics = 12 ambulances. Waiting at the ER. Not responding to calls. Which means, of course, extended response times for the next emergency nd the one after that. It also means an overwhelmed ER with a triage nurse struggling to cope with the influx of patients.
