Offloading delays : CHAUR Trois-Rivières

Hier, aux urgences du CHAUR de Trois-Rivières, une équipe des paramédics a attendu 6 heures que son patient soit trié/transféré vers un lit disponible tandis qu'une autre a attendu 7 heures. Ces pauvres patients qui attendent sur une civière d'ambulance pendant des heures. Où est la dignité dans notre système de santé ? Et ces paramédics étaient hors service pendant il y a eu davantage d’appels d’urgence dans les communautés qu’ils desservent.

Yesterday, at the ER of the CHAUR in Trois-Rivières one team of paramedics waited 6 hours for their patient to be triaged/transferred to an available bed while another waited 7 hours. Those poor patients - waiting on an ambulance stretcher for hours. Where is the dignity in our health system ? And those paramedics were out of service while there were more emergency calls in the communities they serve.
